Just adding to the thread - same issue, "Connection Lost" 'The Socket was closed', two boxes pop up, one on top of the other. I run 2 EVE clients, often from the same machine. They do not always drop at the same time, however usually this is the case. No issues with other games I play online, (BF3, FFXIV ARR)
I've tried updating drivers, repairing eve, closing all processes/background programs, tinkering with router, virus scans. You name it. Which leads me to believe the issue is between me and CCP servers somewhere. It's frustrating especially as the game is subscription based, which means real money slowly trickling away and an experience that is unbearable. (I have been getting the connection lost issue every single time I log on, within 5 minutes of logging in for the past 24 hours or so now.)
I also decided to try a quick tracert:
Tracing route to www.eveonline.com [87.237.39.180] over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 3 ms 1 ms 4 ms 192.168.1.1 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 * * * Request timed out. 4 * * * Request timed out. 5 * * * Request timed out. 6 * * * Request timed out. 7 * 166 ms 124 ms te-d2-e2.ccp.cc [87.237.37.246] 8 54 ms 47 ms 40 ms srv180-h.ccp.cc [87.237.39.180]
Then I tried:
Tracing route to 87.237.39.166 over a maximum of 30 hops
1 18 ms 1 ms 18 ms 192.168.1.1 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 * * * Request timed out. 4 * 203 ms 120 ms 10.1.3.214 5 * * * Request timed out. 6 * * * Request timed out. 7 174 ms 118 ms 99 ms te-d2-e2.ccp.cc [87.237.37.246] 8 80 ms 172 ms 223 ms 87.237.39.166
And then the IP which I believe is the server IP...
Tracing route to srv200-g.ccp.cc [87.237.38.200] over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 9 ms 1 ms 1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 * * * Request timed out. 4 56 ms 36 ms 43 ms 10.1.3.214 5 * * * Request timed out. 6 * * * Request timed out. 7 29 ms 32 ms 29 ms te-d2-e2.ccp.cc [87.237.37.246] 8 57 ms 49 ms 29 ms srv200-g.ccp.cc [87.237.38.200]
Hopefully this information is useful to you. As right now it's frustrating being unable to access the game in a playable state.
Edit: My location is Preston, UK. And I believe the ISP is BT for this location. |
